As the left-wing media has made sure everyone knows by now, and will remind us every day until election day and beyond, Donald Trump is a “convicted felon.” On Friday, a Trump-hating jury in the Manhattan courtroom of a Trump-hating judge declared the former President guilty on 34 counts of being a threat to Democrat one-party hegemony.
House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan wrote in a statement that the verdict
is a travesty of justice. The Manhattan kangaroo court shows what happens when our justice system is weaponized by partisan prosecutors in front of a biased judge with an unfair process, designed to keep President Trump off the campaign trail and avoid bringing attention to President Biden’s failing radical policies.
Nailed it. Jordan added that “Americans see through Democrats’ lawfare tactics and know President Trump will be vindicated on appeal.”
Yes, Americans do see through this sham show trial. Everyone on both sides of the political fence is fully aware that this trial had nothing to do with law and order (which is not a Democrat value); it had everything to do with torpedoing a feared political opponent’s chances in the upcoming election. Republicans know it, Democrats know it, and the Democrats know we know they know it. They just don’t care, just as they didn’t care that everyone knows they stole the 2020 election. Americans can all see that Democrats will do and say anything to seize and maintain power, and they also know the Republican Party will do nothing to stop them.
But in their blind arrogance and lust for a permanent one-party state, the Democrats have egregiously miscalculated this time. They cannot grasp that their blatant, obsessive persecution of the political enemy they fear the most is only empowering Trump’s support and popularity. His campaign has announced that it raised $53 million within 24 hours of the conviction. The Republican National Committee raked in more than $34.8 million from 485,000 donors in the same time frame. The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) said that they had raised $300,000. The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) also said it had its biggest fundraising haul after the verdict, raising $360,000.
Jason Thielman, the executive director of the NRSC, wrote, “Outrage over the sham verdict against Trump has spurred average Americans into action! The NRSC just had its largest online daily fundraising haul of the cycle. The people are energized and determined to take back the White House and Senate!”
And of course, like an Old School heavyweight pugilist, the relentless Trump himself just absorbs these punches and keeps coming, undaunted. “We’re going to fight,” he said after the verdict. “I’m wired in such a way that a lot of people would have gone away a long time ago. They would have gone away after impeachment hoaxes.”
Democrats cluelessly think their fraudulent “convicted felon” label will deter many people from voting for Trump. They have no clue what makes real Americans tick. Here’s a clue for them: Trump attended the UFC 302 match in Newark only a couple of days after his conviction, arriving to what was described as “thunderous applause” from the UFC crowd. Podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan commented that the “round of applause” Trump received was “staggering.”
Democrats think Hollywood and “Pride” parades and college campuses are America, but if you want a more representative slice of this nation, go to a UFC event, where the chanting alternates between “We love Trump” and “F**k Joe Biden.”
Some conservative commentators such as Megyn Kelly, and even some progressive pundits, are warning that the Democrats “will rue the day” that they chose to weaponize the courts to target political opponents, because one day they could be on the receiving end of that very same lawfare. Commentators use phrases like “crossing the Rubicon” and “opening Pandora’s Box” to describe the fearsome change this watershed moment has brought to American politics. Clichés aside, they’re not wrong to point this out.
But I believe that what Americans can expect in the near future is more serious than just the normalization of a politicized judicial system. I believe this country is now on an irrevocable path to civil war – not just the kind of cold civil war we’ve been in since the Obama years (if not before), but a literal hot civil war of the kind the Democrats keep fear-mongering about, all the while ensuring that it will happen – just as they ensured that a January 6 “insurrection” turned violent and then hyped it as the greatest threat to democracy since the War Between the States.
A quick aside for clarification: when Democrats say “democracy,” they mean totalitarian Democrat rule. When they win elections, that’s democracy. When Republicans win, that’s fascism and “a threat to democracy.”
Senator Rand Paul said of the verdict, “What I worry about is something even bigger than Donald Trump. I worry about strife. I worry about war in the streets.”
Congresswomen Maxine Waters is worried about civil war too. The corrupt demagogue went on MSNBC to blather about Trump’s conviction, claiming, “I am worried that he is so divisive and that he is talking about retribution and about revenge and I think that is dangerous. He has even mentioned civil war, saying there will be bloodshed.”
(This is all Democrat projection, of course; Trump didn’t divide this country – he only exposed the division that the Democrats had already brought about.)
Waters went on to fret that “the domestic terrorists” – by which she means American patriots – might be preparing a civil war. “Are they going to be attacking?” Waters panicked.
She’s not called “Mad Max” without reason. Waters is insane, stupid, and ideologically driven – a toxic combination anytime, but especially in political leadership. For once, though, she’s not wrong: the Democrats are more likely than ever now to get what they’ve been pushing for, which is right-wing political violence.
I hope I’m wrong. I don’t want civil war. As a conservative, I don’t want America divided. I want this country to return to a normal level of passionate political disagreement. But Trump’s conviction is the final straw, the confirmation that this country is hopelessly broken politically, and that there can be no bridging of this political divide.
Like matter and anti-matter, progressivism and the kind of liberal democracy conservatives stand for cannot exist in the same space. As the tag line from the movie Highlander says, there can be only one. The left has put all its energies into dividing this country into what they see as despised deplorables on the one hand, and on the other, righteous progressives on the right side of history. They have pushed and pushed, demonized and physically attacked us, weaponized the legal system against us, stolen an election, and with Trump’s conviction of a crime most Americans can’t even identify, they’ve prodded the bear one too many times. They have wanted conservative violence in order to justify criminalizing and imprisoning the MAGA movement, like they have done with the innocent January 6 defendants.
They should have been careful what they wished for, because now I believe they're going to get it. This is not a threat, just a prediction. Civil war is coming.
Tapson continues to keep his finger on the pulse of the left. His thorough investigations and thoughtful prognostications prove ingenious. It is heartbreaking that our nation has fallen to this level of depravity by the democrats in power seeking to maintain control. Red blooded Americans are not going to let this continue and it could lead to civil war. Good versus evil. Followers of the Constitution versus lawless politicos.
I believe they are planning it in any case, based on 2020 riots and Hamas protests, so best not to give them an excuse--Gandhi style non-violent resistance would be a wiser strategy in this context, as it would reflect the actual balance of power and play to strengths rather than weaknesses of the American public.
